PBMF’s Statement on Death of Regis Bobonis Sr.

PBMF mourns the loss of Regis Bobonis Sr., a trailblazing journalist.  A former editor at the Pittsburgh Courier, he also was the first black news reporter at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the first black news reporter for WIIC, now WPXI.  Bobonis was the founder of the Tuskegee Airmen Memorial of the Greater Pittsburgh Region.
