PBMF Congratulates Newly Elected 2018-19 Officers

The Pittsburgh Black Media Federation is proud to announce its newly elected board officers, who will help steer the award-winning chapter forward. PBMF Seeks Candidates for Board Offices

The Pittsburgh Black Media Federation will hold elections for board officers Nov. 16, 2017.   Five offices will be up for election: president, vice president, treasurer, secretary and parliamentarian.  To see the election rules and deadlines, and submit a candidate’s statement, click here.

Pittsburgh Black Media Federation Laments Sheridan Broadcasting Job Cuts

PITTSBURGH (Aug. 30, 2017) — The Pittsburgh Black Media Federation is disheartened by Sheridan Broadcasting Networks’ elimination of its national news and sports divisions, which resulted in the loss of 11 jobs Tuesday.  Read the full statement here.

“AMERICAN HEROES: THE HOMEWOOD PROJECT”

PBMF has launched “American Heroes: The Homewood Project,” a photo series that will feature black males making a difference in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood.  The exhibit featuring about 20 heroes will be presented on social media and in Homewood in fall 2017.  For more information and a peek at a few of the featured heroes, click here. more »
