Artist Statement: While my visits abroad are generally short, a week or two, it’s the quality time that matters most—walking, discovering, living and talking with locals.  I’m excited to also capture those experiences from behind the lens of my old Nikon.  My travel photos keep me in the moment when I’m grounded and filled with wanderlust. Those images also remind me what a privilege and blessing it is to travel the world—and realize that it’s smaller than I imagined! – B. Denise Hawkins
