Pittsburgh Black Media Federation Laments Sheridan Broadcasting Job Cuts

PITTSBURGH (Aug. 30, 2017) — The Pittsburgh Black Media Federation is disheartened by Sheridan Broadcasting Networks’ elimination of its national news and sports divisions, which resulted in the loss of 11 jobs Tuesday.  Read the full statement here.

“AMERICAN HEROES: THE HOMEWOOD PROJECT”

Pittsburgh Black Media Federation Wins 2017 Pro Chapter of the Year Award

PITTSBURGH (Aug. 9, 2017) — The Pittsburgh Black Media Federation is beyond honored to be named the 2017 Professional Chapter of the Year — its first time as a solo winner.  The National Association of Black Journalists presented the honor at its annual convention in New Orleans. Read more here.
